Pokut Plateau Tour
Overview
After welcoming you at the departure points, we begin our journey to Pokut Plateau with an on-board introduction. Our first stop will be at the Eskitoğlu Waterfall in Rize for a tea break. Once the break is over, we head to a partner facility for a 30-minute stop to see the Fırtına Stream and participate in the exciting Zipline activity.
Next, we head to Şenyuva Village (Çinçiva) in Çamlıhemşin, a village that has hosted many TV series. In the village, we will take a break at the local café to enjoy some tea or coffee. Afterward, we’ll stop for a photo opportunity at the region’s oldest and widest arched stone bridge, Taş Köprü. We will also get a chance to admire some of the country’s oldest mansions before continuing our journey toward Pokut Plateau. After about an hour, we will arrive at Pokut Plateau, one of the most beautiful plateaus in the Black Sea region, located at 2075 meters above sea level. Here, we will take a photo and enjoy a meal with a unique, breathtaking view above the clouds.
Depending on the weather and the condition of the path, we will gather the guests and go for a beautiful nature walk to Sal Plateau. This walk will last about 30 minutes. Once we arrive at Sal Plateau, guests will have free time to explore. If we are lucky, we may even experience the “Sea of Clouds” phenomenon. Guests can also taste natural rice pudding or enjoy a cup of tea.
After our free time, we visit Zilkale, a castle built on one of the highest points in the valley to protect the historic trade route. We’ll take a photo break in the hidden garden of the Kaçkar Mountains before concluding our Pokut Tour and heading back to Trabzon, bidding farewell until our next tour.
