Hıdırnebi, Cal Cave Tour
Overview
After welcoming you at the departure points, we begin our journey to Hıdırnebi Plateau and Çal Cave with an informative introduction on board. Çal Cave, located in Cal Village, 30 km from the Akçaabat district of Trabzon, is the largest cave in Turkey. It is a significant tourism destination with its millions-of-years-old stalactites, stalagmites, water, and waterfall. The cave is 1 km long, and a 550-meter section has been arranged as a walking trail with lighting. The cave’s beauty and the surrounding greenery owe much to its abundant rainfall and humid, misty air.
The plateaus offer visitors the opportunity to experience the most beautiful landscapes, watch wildlife in the forest, and enjoy photo-safari opportunities, especially during the hottest days of the season.
After visiting the cave, we head towards Hıdırnebi Plateau, located at an altitude of 1,742 meters above sea level. Hıdırnebi Plateau offers stunning views of the natural landscape. You can capture beautiful photos of the Trabzon skyline from here, and the view becomes even more breathtaking at sunset. Every year, the Hıdırnebi Festival is held here, starting on July 20th and lasting for three days.
After our visit to Hıdırnebi and Çal, we continue our journey towards Sera Lake, a natural and picturesque spot in the Derecik Valley. The lake is formed by a landslide dam and is 4 kilometers long, surrounded by greenery. It presents a mesmerizing landscape, especially as the lake changes colors with the seasons. We stop here to enjoy the view and allow you to capture the scene through your camera lens.
After visiting Sera Lake, we conclude our Hıdırnebi Tour and head back to Trabzon, bidding farewell until our next tour.
