Gito Badara Plateau Tour
Overview
Dear guests, we will begin our journey for the Gito & Badara Plateau Tour at 08:00 from the front of our Trabzon Agency. After a short drive, we will stop in Sürmene to visit the famous Sürmene knives and have some time for shopping. Once the break is complete, we will continue our journey and, after approximately 1.5 hours, we will arrive at Fırtına Valley. Guests who wish to experience the zipline activity in Fırtına Valley can join in.
We will then proceed to Çamlıhemşin, where our exploration begins.
Our first stop will be in Çinçiva Village (also known as Şenyuva), a location featured in the TV series Sevdaluk. We will walk through small tea gardens, take some photos, and visit the Sevdaluk House. Next, we will take a photo break at the Çinçiva Bridge, the oldest and widest arched stone bridge in the region. After our visit, we continue on our way to Zilkale (Zil Castle), which was built on one of the highest points in the valley to protect the historic trade route.
After exploring Zilkale, we will take a tea or coffee break at the café located there, and then proceed to the Palovit Waterfall, one of the highest-flowing waterfalls in the region. After about 20 minutes of travel, we will reach the waterfall and take a photo break. Once we’ve captured the perfect shots, we will visit the Çamlıhemşin Boxwood Forests, the only place where boxwood trees grow naturally and are used for making tools like spoons, combs, and bobbins. Guests will have free time for a short walk in the forest and to take more photos.
Following our time in the forest, we will set off for Gito Plateau, located at an altitude of 2000-2100 meters. Here, guests will have free time to enjoy the scenery and take photos. After having lunch in this picturesque location, we will head to the nearby Badara Plateau. We will enjoy the beauty of the plateau, take more photos, and, after exploring, we will begin our journey back to Trabzon.
