Overview
After welcoming our guests from the departure points, we begin our journey to Hıdırnebi Plateau and Çal Cave with explanations onboard. Located 30 km away from Akçaabat district in Trabzon province, Çal Cave is the largest cave in Turkey. It is an important tourist destination, famous for its millions of years old stalactites and stalagmites, as well as its water and waterfall. The cave is 1 km long, and a 550-meter section inside has been arranged as a walking path and illuminated. The beauty and greenery of the cave owe much to its constant rainfall, humid, and foggy climate. During the hottest days of the season, the plateaus offer stunning beauty, scenic views, opportunities to observe the wildlife in the forest, and photo safari possibilities for visitors.
After leaving here, we head to Hıdırnebi Plateau, which is located at an altitude of 1,742 meters above sea level. Hıdırnebi Plateau is an excellent spot for scenic views, and from here, you can capture Trabzon’s landscape with your camera. The view becomes even more magnificent as the sun sets.
Every year, from July 20th for three days, the Hıdırnebi Festivities are held on the plateau.
After visiting Hıdırnebi and Çal, we continue our journey through a scenic route, passing Sera Lake, which is a landslide dam lake in Derecik Valley. This 4-kilometer-long lake is naturally beautiful and offers a breathtaking landscape that changes its colors with the seasons, providing perfect photo opportunities.
Finally, we end our tour of Hıdırnebi and head back to Trabzon, saying goodbye until our next tour.
